The NSW Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is looking for consumers with an interest in patient safety and quality of health care to join committees and project groups that are working to make healthcare better and safer in NSW.
The CEC is a statutory health authority that promotes and supports improvement in clinical quality and safety in health services working in collaboration with clinicians and consumers.
Consumer advisors will preferably have had experience of the NSW Health system..
Successful applicants will be appointed to a consumer panel for a period of 12 months with the potential for re-appointment for a further 12 months.
Reasonable expenses that are incurred to enable participation will be reimbursed.
Consumers from rural or remote regions will be enabled to participate by teleconference or videoconference.
