Mardi Gras Festival 2018

22 Feb 2018

NSW Ambulance is an organisation with a group of staff who reflect the diversity of the communities and regions to which it delivers care, which is one of the reasons why NSW Ambulance is pleased to be a part of the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival this year.

The 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, which is held from Friday 16 February to Sunday 4 March, 2018  provides an opportunity for NSW Ambulance staff to demonstrate their collective support for the wider LGBTQI community.

More than 200,000 spectators are expected to attend this year’s Mardi Gras Parade, which will take over Oxford and Flinders Street and as with all major community events, operational paramedics will be ready to respond to any medical emergencies, working closely with other emergency services to deliver exceptional care to participants and spectators where needed.

NSW Ambulance encourages all staff to acknowledge, embrace and celebrate the diversity which exists within the workplace and would like to urge the community to show its support for NSW Ambulance staff as they participate alongside their families and loved ones in the parade on Saturday 3 March, 2018.

Happy Mardi Gras Festival 2018.
