Ambulance stars on "Saturday Disney"
Paramedics Eileen Macpherson and Darren Struthers from Summer Hill and the SAC were recently filmed for an episode on Channel Seven’s Saturday Disney. Eileen and Darren had to “treat” the hosts of the show Jack, Sally and Shae who had fallen ill while playing in the park.
The hosts were given a guided tour of the ambulance and the equipment that is used by paramedics to treat patients.
The segment, to appear in an upcoming episode on television, helps young children understand the role that paramedics play in the community, and reinforces that the number to call in an emergency is Triple Zero and that a ride in the ambulance isn’t as scary as young kids may think.
Thanks to Eileen and Darren for giving up their time to educate young kids in their acting debut!
