Awards ceremony at Government House
Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales presented six Ambulance staff with the Ambulance Service Medal (ASM) during an investiture at Government House on Friday 8 May 2009.
Due to the many awards presented on the day, Superintendent Jennifer Van Cleef, Superintendent Ric Kruit and Station Manager Norm Spalding received their award during the morning session and Superintendent Jeff Woods, Superintendent Jeff Gilchrist and Intensive Care Paramedic Gary Vincent were presented during the afternoon session.
The ASM was awarded to the officers during the 2009 Australia Day celebrations on Monday 26 January 2009 and this investiture marked the official acceptance of the award.

Ambulance is committed to assisting the community create safer and healthier environments and outcomes by making prevention everyone’s businesses. A number of innovative community education programs have been implemented to assist identify life threatening conditions, understand what to do in an emergency and the importance of adopting illness prevention strategies.
