Trust makes challenges easier
Paramedics remain the most trusted of professionals. For the sixth
year running, paramedics have taken the top position in the Readers
Digest Most Trusted Professionals poll. Firefighters came second and
nurses third.
Broken Hill Paramedic Daniel Willis, said it was truly amazing to receive the honour six years in a row.
“Paramedics contend daily with stressful and challenging situations, made easier because of the complete trust our patients place on us,” he said.
“Paramedics are entrusted with their patient’s health and wellbeing and are invited into people’s homes and private lives every day.”
NSW Ambulance provided more than 1,118,000 responses last financial year – an average of 3,056 per day or a call for assistance every 28 seconds.
"Paramedics would like to say thank you to the community for the genuine trust that they place in them and for bestowing the title of Most Trusted Profession,” said Daniel.
