Ambulance wins at NSW Health Awards
Congratulations to the CARE team who won a NSW Health Award for their entry More
and Safer Options for Ambulance Pre Hospital Patients.
The CARE program took out the prize in the category Creating Better Journeys: Improving Patient Experience. Project Manager Katie O’Donnell, together with CARE Educators Paul Simpson and Michael Vince, accepted the award from the Deputy Premier and Minister for Health, the Honorable Carmel Tebbutt, MLC at a ceremony honouring the outstanding achievements of health service staff on Friday 30 October 2009.
CARE also received a certificate for being nominated as one of three finalists for the peak prize, the Minister’s Excellence Award.
Mr Greg Rochford, Chief Executive and members of the Ambulance Executive congratulated Katie and the CARE team on their achievement and reflected on the contribution made by the individual paramedics across Ambulance who have made great efforts to ensure patients benefit from CARE.
