Students from Course 187 received their Certificate to Practice
On Friday 1 February 2008, 16 students from Course 187 were presented with their Certificate to Practice by Greg Rochford, Ambulance Chief Executive and Graham McCarthy, Acting General Manager, Operations, during a ceremony at the Ambulance Education Centre at Rozelle.
During the ceremony, Graham McCarthy addressed the students and encouraged them to reflect back over the treatment of patients and how they could improve. Greg Rochford then congratulated students on their performance and wished them well in the future.
Paramedic Sacha Helson spoke on behalf of the students and thanked the educators for their undivided attention, their families for their support and all those who took the time to attend the ceremony.
Students receiving their Certificate to Practice included: Luke Bamford, Belinda Cantor, Andrew Etherington, Alex Geddes, Jane Gilmour, Amandeep Grewal, Sacha Helson, Colin Hudson, Marcia Lock, Suzan Young, Travis Musicka, Luke O'Hearn, Jason Trigg, Claire Walker, Brad Weston and Philip Wiltjer.

A number of innovative community education programs have been implemented to assist identify life threatening conditions, understand what to do in an emergency and the importance of adopting illness prevention strategies.
