Kyle and Jackie O brought back their incredible 'Triple Zero Heroes' segment, which pays tribute to the unsung heroes who take our emergency calls as they play back audio from real life incidents.

Background:

About 10.30am on 2 January, Alison, who suffers from asthma, was at home with her seven-year-old son, Lincoln, when she started to have an asthma attack. On this particular day, she was very lucky to have her son around, who came to her rescue by calling Triple Zero, after he realised she was struggling to breathe.

Knowing exactly what to do in this situation, he stayed next to his mum and managed to give our call taker all the relevant information to get help to her as quickly as possible. Belinda stayed on the phone with Lincoln and was able to reassure him, but guide him through what to do to take care of her and help her when she became drowsy and unresponsive, until the paramedics got there.

Always remember: In an emergency, dial Triple Zero (000).

Now listen to the audio clip.
