Sunday 14 April 2024 marks the first anniversary of the tragic death of Paramedic Steven Tougher.

In consultation with Steve’s family, we invite you all to celebrate his contribution to his community as a paramedic, a husband, father, son and brother. To all his friends and colleagues, we’re encouraging you (and others) to wear silly socks to celebrate and show our appreciation for the fun-loving person Steve was.

Steven’s family remember his life as full of laughter and fun. Silly Socks Day is about reflecting what Steve would have done. Steve was larger than life, so make sure you go all out with your sock choice and have fun wearing them.

Everyone can get involved, so encourage your family and friends to wear their silly socks too. Wear them at home, at home or out and about.

Show your love and appreciation for Steve’s memory by sharing photos and tagging @NSWAmbulance #sillysocks4steve.

You can also show your support by downloading the Silly Socks Day media pack which includes a poster, social media assets, email signature banner and meeting background.
