Ambulance Fees and Insurance

NSW Ambulance does not offer ambulance insurance or ambulance‑only cover. In NSW, some people may be exempt from ambulance service fees, including pensioners and eligible concession card holders.

If you have private health insurance, you may have ambulance costs covered through your provider. For information about fees, exemptions or coverage options, we recommend checking your eligibility or speaking with your private health insurer.
